I sometimes teach workshops in my Margate studio. They can be one day courses exploring hand stitch and appliqué techniques, or longer two / three day courses learning about colour and screen printing. All information on upcoming courses will be listed here and I also let people know via my newsletter. If you would like to be updated and find out first about scheduled courses you can sign up to my slightly erratic newsletter via the form at the bottom of the page.
I have taught a three day residential course at West Dean College in Sussex for several years and sometimes additional Summer School courses that are a week long. West Dean is a very special place with a fascinating history and its a brilliant place to teach and also to attend a course. You can find more details of how to book a place on my next course and about the college here.
One To One
For those who want a more focussed and tailored teaching experience, I can also arrange one to one studio sessions or for very small groups with the same aims. These sessions could be for anyone looking to refresh their existing practice by learning a new skill, or to get past any obstacles and begin in a new direction. One to one sessions are also useful if you have attended a previous group session with me and would like to work at a deeper level to develop your skills and move forward.
One to one teaching sessions are £500 for a 5 hour day working with me in my studio. The fee includes a starter consultation by phone and email, where I will look at your work and development so far to determine your individual needs and direction for the session. Personalised 5 hour session working with me one to one in the studio, ending in a single follow up support session via phone and email to review your progress and set further goals for your independent creative growth. Fees will include a personalised and fully resourced programme for your session including inks / other materials.
