I am a graduate of the Royal College of Art (2005) and Ravensbourne College of Art (1985). In between my first degree and masters I did a PGCE at Goldsmiths and worked as a secondary school and special needs art teacher. I also worked as a commercial artist and designer in graphics and textiles. The two intense years spent studying at the RCA was a pivotal point in my career and provided an opportunity to explore and refine the textile making, which had been suppressed during earlier art school experiences.
I live and work in Margate, on the South East coast of England.
I have supplied, shown work and collaborated with the following organisations : Margate Festival: Margate Kent, Linden Hall Studio: Deal, Kent, Heals: Tottenham Court Rd, Liberty: London, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Flow Gallery: London, Pallant House Gallery Shop: Chichester, Anthropologie: USA, Castor+Pollux Modern Artworks: Brighton, Cornwall Contemporary Gallery: Penzance, Sarah Wiseman Gallery: Oxford, Autour Du Monde: Paris, ReForm School: US, The Art Group, Frank: Whitstable, Selvedge Magazine and Galison Publishing NY.
