November 2020.

An online showing of works completed in the 2020 Covid 19 lockdown, comprising six new large works on paper and eleven completed cloth works. These works were initiated out of a period of transition and looking for a place for my work to exist. A period of transition that incorporated spaces, thoughts and feelings. Moving physically; my studio contents, equipment and material stores from one place to another in succession. Moving the focus of my practice from making functional objects to more experimental artworks and material constructions. And moving between emotional states of hazy memory and the sometimes fresh rawness of feeling in the present. These works in the end represent and kind of holding together, addressing the ‘how and why?’ of making work in unsettling, uncertain times.
